Terms of Service

1. Scope

Noble Nikah is a Sri Lankan matrimonial platform operated by Noble Nikah (Pvt) Ltd (Reg. No. PV 00432891). These Terms govern your access to and use of the website, mobile apps, and any service we provide under the noblenikah.net domain.

By creating a profile, signing in, or using any feature you confirm that you've read these Terms and agree to be bound by them.

2. Eligibility

You must be:

• At least 18 years old.
• Single — never married, divorced, or widowed. We don't accept profiles from people currently in an active marriage.
• Joining with the single intent of finding a spouse. Friendship, dating-without-marriage-intent, networking, and recruiting are all out of scope and your profile will be removed.
• Honest about your identity, age, marital status, and the photos you post. Verified profiles get a higher conversion rate; fraudulent ones are removed.

3. Account, verification and family

You may invite a wali (family guardian) to review profiles and conversations with you. The wali sees what you choose to share via the family-chat feature; we never share private fields (NIC, contact details, exact location) without your explicit action. Mosque endorsements are optional. When you request one, the endorsing mosque sees the fields you authorise on the endorsement form — never your full profile.

4. Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Send unsolicited contact details (phone numbers, addresses, social handles) outside the verified channels. Our contact-redaction layer will mask them on a best-effort basis; repeat attempts result in suspension.
• Harass, defame, or threaten other members or their families.
• Use the platform to advertise, solicit, or recruit for services unrelated to matrimony.
• Misrepresent your identity, age, marital status, or intent.
• Attempt to scrape, automate access to, or reverse-engineer the platform.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that breach this section. Suspensions can be appealed at hello@noblenikah.net within 30 days.

5. Subscription, billing and refunds

Free profiles can browse and verify. Standard and Premium subscriptions unlock messaging, family-chat invites, mosque endorsements, and other features as documented at /upgrade.

• Prices are quoted in your registered residence country's local currency and charged via Stripe. We don't offer pricing arbitrage by changing your residence after onboarding.
• You can pause or cancel from /account/subscription at any time. Refunds within 14 days of purchase, no questions; thereafter pro-rata for unused months. See the (forthcoming) Refund Policy for edge cases.

6. Content ownership

You retain ownership of the photos, biography text, and other information you upload. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content for the purpose of running the platform. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we must retain copies for legal, compliance, or fraud-prevention reasons.

7. Termination

You may delete your account from /account/settings at any time. Deletion is irreversible after a 30-day grace period; during the grace period, you can email us to recover.

We may terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms. We'll notify you and explain the reason where possible.

8. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Disputes that can't be resolved by reaching out to us first go to the courts of Colombo. EU residents retain their statutory rights; nothing in this section overrides them.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms when product or law requires. We'll notify you in-app before any material change takes effect. Continued use after a notified change constitutes acceptance.
